Hosting & CDN

This website is hosted on our own infrastructure in Germany. When you visit our website, your browser sends data (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type) to our server. This is technically necessary to deliver the website.

We use Cloudflare as a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to improve loading speeds and protect against attacks. Cloudflare may process your IP address and set technical cookies (__cf_bm, cf_clearance). Images and static assets on this site are delivered through Jetpack Site Accelerator, a content delivery network operated by Automattic Inc. (USA). When a page loads, your IP address and the file requested are transmitted to Automattic servers. SSL/TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix and the lock icon in your browser's address bar.

Contact Form

When you contact us via the contact form, the data you provide (name, e-mail address, message) is transmitted to us and stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry. We do not share this data without your consent.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to the performance of a contract, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries. Your data will be deleted after your request has been fully processed, unless retention is required by law.

Embedded Map

Our contact section can display a map of our location provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom).

The map is not loaded automatically. It stays switched off until you select "Show map", so no data is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation on an ordinary page visit. Only if you choose to load it does your browser connect to their servers, which necessarily discloses your IP address to them.

This is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, your consent, given by the act of loading the map. Consent is not stored: the map is switched off again on your next visit. Details are in the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy at https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

No marketing or cross-site tracking cookies are used. Our visitor statistics are collected without cookies, see the Analytics section below. You can configure your browser to block cookies, though this may affect website functionality.

Analytics

We use Jetpack Stats, a service provided by Automattic Inc. (USA), to count page views and link clicks.

Jetpack Stats works without cookies. It stores nothing on your device and does not build a profile of you across other websites. It does transmit your IP address, the page you requested, your browser type and the referring page to Automattic servers, where the data is aggregated into visitor statistics.

You can prevent this processing by using a browser or browser extension that blocks requests to stats.wp.com.
